With the development, that never happened on Magnetic Island over a decade ago, now at full tilt, this cartoon by Gavin Ryan from the early 1990s makes a point that many Islanders and visitors can still be heard to say.

Gavin is a consumate artist with a range of interests which extend from cartoons to sculpture, digital animation and superbly rendered satirical paintings and assemblages.
