Booming art
With the development, that never happened on Magnetic Island over a decade ago, now at full tilt, this cartoon by Gavin Ryan from the early 1990s makes a point that many Islanders and visitors can still be heard to say.Gavin is a consumate artist with a range of interests which extend from cartoons to sculpture, digital animation and superbly rendered satirical paintings and assemblages.
His Studio gallery on Horseshoe Bay road is an extraordinary experience and not to be missed when visiting Magnetic Island. A wide range of Gavin's work can be seen in high resolution at his own website (click here)
If you find the cartoon a little hard to read at this resolution just click on it and then you can also send it to a friend as an e-postcard. Ed
