Poem from Man Of Issaquah

Native Lily Hello. Here is a lighthearted poem "Prettiest Flower" from my online book of poems.

If you visit my site (read here) you will see that I write on a wide range of topics.

Kind Regards
Man Of Issaquah

Prettiest Flower
On a rain-soaked April day,
The sun broke through
In the tulip field.

As if right on cue,
It was then I saw you
Toddling up my row
To squat and hide below
Our adoring red petals
On doting stems of green.

Well how dee dee do!
That was when I knew
I would not mind
If you picked me.
Me, the second prettiest flower
In the field.
