Magnetic Island Country (Golf) Club suffered a forced entry last Saturday night and Magnetic Island Police are investigating.

The break in which occurred between 9pm and 9.10pm activated an alarm and Senior Constable Pat Berrigan said he thought that this caused those involved to flee.

In another police matter a man was detained last Friday night in relation to possession of a dangerous drug and has been directed to a Court Diversion Program for minor drug offences.

Last week members of the Townsville Drug Squad visited Magnetic Island and as a result three people were also directed to the diversion program.

Another man will appear in court however after being charged by Sen. Constable Berrigan last week for producing a drug, possession of a drug and possession of a utensil for using drugs.
