MI Police and the pillow case
Sometime during last week a somewhat bizarre theft occurred at Bright Point that has Magnetic Island Police investigating. Constable Ben Costelloe told Magnetic Times that two TV's, to the value of $2500, were stolen between the 1st and 7th of December from an apartment at Bright Point. "One was a 26" Samsung and black in colour. The other was a 22" Palsonic with an integrated DVD."
Constable Costello suspects the crime may have been committed by somebody with access to a key or due to the door being left unlocked as there were no signs of forced entry.
And, intriguingly, one other item disappeared and speculation mounts as to whether the thief or thieves ended up enjoying a night at home, in bed with two TVs to watch, with at least one head resting on an expensive metallic blue pillow case.
Magnetic Island Police are, as always, keen to hear from any member of the public who has any information regarding the theft of the TVs and pillow case. They can be contacted on 4778 5270 or through Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
