Bombshells to hit Magnetic
As part of the Island's Bay Days Festival, Tropic Sun Theatre Company is visiting Maggie with a very, funny show: BOMBSHELLS!Every bloke has a joke about a woman - and every woman has a womens' story too. - Women everywhere are great at laughing at themselves, whether they are women from the bush, or city slickers
Share an evening with four remarkable women who will invite you into their worlds and behold - it is likely to be your world too! BOMBSHELLS has had several capital city productions, and an ABC TV series and a London season.
Playwright (and novelist) Joanna Murray-Smith was praised for her incisive and witty writing.
According to a news release from Tropic Sun, "The uniting theme of the evening is, women on the edge: about to get married, a young mum yearning some peace from the family, a divorcee who still loves her ex, a woman waiting for the unexpected to drop into her life. The stories unfold with passion, humour and occasional misery - (bring a tissue!) and the hilarious wildness of women!
"For actress Madonna Davies this is a superb opportunity to display her enormous range as a performer. She embraces each character with sympathy and takes the audience with her into their world."
Join her on Thursday 2nd October at 7.30pm (box office open from 6.30pm) at the Stage Door Theatre, Hayles Avenue, Arcadia for one of the funniest nights of the year
Tickets at the door Adults $20; Concessions $15; Students $10. Rated PG - adult themes
