The imported croc

Dear Ed, It is incredible the Department concerned did not take this croc somewhere like Morton Bay. I am sure that the competition for space from other crocs in that area and the availability of food in that area would be better than Magnetic Island.

One wonders how many other crocs have been imported to populated areas in NQ.

The department concerned has really set itself up for litigation if someone gets eaten/ bitten in an area where there are no signs. Spare a thought for the tourist operators who are now struggling due to lack of business caused by the imported Croc.

Being a resident of West Point mainly due to the attraction of it's beautiful beach and sunsets I am disappointed that I now have to watch out that an imported Croc doesn't have a go at those who play on the beach.

Although the Department concerned continues to turn a blind eye to 4WD driving on the beach at West Point it is now clear that it is probably the only safe way to go along the beach to avoid the croc lurching at oneself. I now understand why they let 4WDs on the beach!

It is unbelievable that we have such a situation.

David Ede

West Point Resident.
