The Queensland Regional Achievement & Community Awards' organisers are on the lookout for achievers in our community.

The Queensland Government through the Blueprint for the Bush Strategy initiated the Awards to acknowledge and reward the state's unsung heroes. By nominating an achiever you will put them in the running for state–wide acknowledgement.

The Awards provide an opportunity for many communities around the state to embrace and salute the success of local achievers in business, employment, festivals, community service, environmental practices, arts and culture, youth leaders and regional development.

There are seven award categories for which achievers can be nominated. They are:

The Salvation Army Employment Plus Business and Employment Award
The Bartercard Events and Tourism Award
The Coffee Club Arts and Culture Award
The Kleenheat Gas Regional Service Award
The Golden Circle Environment and Landcare Award
The Golding Contractors Youth Leadership Award
The Kleenheat Gas Community of the Year Award

Groups and individuals could have the chance to win a $2,500 AwardSaver account thanks to Commonwealth Bank or Television exposure on WIN Television.
