Bay Days Festival is coming and it's huge!
Magnetic Island is about to burst apart with events and activity when the annual Bay Days Festival returns to our shores this September. Starting with Sunferries' Magnetic Island Race Week, Bay Days has just about everything you could hope for in a small and vibrant community including: live music, art exhibitions, beat box workshops, Indigenous cultural walks, talks, presentations, movies under the stars, markets, history exhibitions, fancy dress, lantern parades, and a skateboarding comp just to name some. And, as if that wasn't enough, the Great Tropical Jazz Party returns for September 11 to 13.Magnetic Times takes pleasure in supporting The Bay Days Festival and congratulates the very hard working team from the Magnetic Island Community Development Association and MI Musos Club, in particular, Lorna Hempstead, Sara Shaw, Phil Honey and Sue Mackay for the great month they have worked so hard already to present in our community. We also thank the many Island based community groups and businesses who are working on the events they are individually presenting and sponsoring.
In coming weeks we will be highlighting a range of the events but to provide a strong taste of what is in store we have reproduced the official Bay Days Festival Program below.
As the program is a big one the file will take a little longer to load on your screen but it will be worth it.
