"Beautiful Kate" this Saturday
"This is an extraordinary film not only for its subject matter, and its approach, but for the extraordinary qualities it demonstrates in every field. The cast are superb, the cinematography magical, the absence of morality is refreshing." is how SMH reviewer, Giles Hardy described, "Beautiful Kate", this Saturday night's movie presented by the MI Film Society at the All Seasons resort at Nelly Bay.Movie review website Rotten Tomatoes gave Beauticful Kate a 94% approval rating and the reviewers had lots of nice things to say about this, the first movie directed by Australian actor, Rachel Ward.
The synopsis reads: "Writer, Ned Kendall, is asked to return to the family home by his sister Sally, to say goodbye to his father who is dying. The family home is in a very remote and isolated area. While back home, Ned starts having memories of his beautiful twin sister and himself when they were children. These memories awaken long-buried secrets from the family's past."
