Musos Christmas Gig this Saturday
Anybody who made it to the launch of MIB (Magnetic Island Boys) terrific CD, "Chronicles of Rapture", last Saturday in the Picnic Bay Mall will have had a taste of what this Saturday's Musos Club Christmas Gig at the RSL Hall in Arcadia has to offer. And while MIB are the only rappers on the bill the Magnetic Island Musos Club Christmas gig has lots more to offer. It will be a pretty special night with local musos taking the stage to celebrate the end of yet another big year for the club its members and visitors.
Line-ups include the other hot Magnetic teenage outfit, The Jay Walkers who are now mixing their own original material with some famous covers and building in experience and confidence with every outing.
Also making an appearance is a new name to Musos Club, Jim Hannan, who may already be familiar to some for his ongoing assault on the Beatles' songbook and cheeky on-stage banter.

Then there is the enigmatic but accomplished Taylor Made, a line-up that combines the driving power percussion of Mark Braggins with the passionate and near transcendent keyboards of Jeremy Barnes behind the compelling and moody vocals of Murray Taylor.
It's a big night a-commin and definitely a great local music experience but to give it just a bit more of a Christmas flavour and make it fun for the kids on the night, a Secret Santa is planned and members are asked to bring along an inexpensive wrapped pressie to put under the Christmas tree to be given to the kids attending on the night.
The RSL Bar remains open throughout and for the night owls who love to keep their energy up as it gets late, Musos Club is bringing back its cake and coffee to accompany Nell’s delicious and very affordable Indonesian meals.
If you are visiting Magnetic Island there is hardly a better way to sample the style and flavour of our community than to attend a Musos night on the second Saturday of the month at the RSL Hall in Hayles Avenue in Arcadia.
