Musos Club this Saturday
It may seem sooner than usual but that is because last month's Musos Club was a week later than normal. But this weekend sees the return of Magnetic Island Musician's Club at the RSL Hall in Arcadia. The line up looks good too with the return of most of Magnetic's hottest teen band: The Jay Walkers who, without young Mitch are simply Paddy, James and Angus. These boys who have also been seen in the recent Carbon Cuts film competition acting in Marley Hannan's funny flicks will, no doubt, be back with some fresh sounds as well as their better known covers.
Mal Hamilton is promising to return and if last Musos is anything to go by when he was supported by the wonderful voices of Tania McBride and live wire Miranda, the night is sure to jump.
The eclectic eletric sounds of Mark Hannan and Chris Copping who, in their love for Korg electronic devices have named themselves The Korg Brothers, will also be back after showing just how good and strange music can get at last month's gig.
Later we expect the excitment, passion and originality that Tailor Made have brought to Magnetic Island music to return as the boys take the stage at the little RSL Hall in Hayles Ave Arcadia where there's always a surprise on offer and the chance for locals and visitors to mix it in the friendliest atmosphere you'd ever find at a live gig anywhere.
Unfortunately, for this Saturday night only, Nel will not be at Musos to provide her delicious Indo tucker but the bar will be open from 7pm till midnight.
All visitors are welcome at Musos Club and a donation of $5 is appreciated from adults while under 18s are admitted free but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. A gold coin donation is appreciated from Musos Club members and anybody interested in joining - just $10 per year for Adults - can see the lovely Renatta at the door.
