This is a late notice but the meeting planned to organise a poetry group on Magnetic Island has been reset to meet tonight at the RnR Bar at Picnic Bay. Following is a message from organiser Dot Church.

Will this be third time lucky? We hope so!

Yes we are going to try again to get a group of budding poets together on this magical isle.

A meeting has been planned for tonight, Tuesday 22nd February, at the R & R Restaurant at Picnic Bay Hotel for 7:00pm sharp. Thanks to Pam! We’ll be able to plan shout ourselves a coffee or a drink in a beautiful setting (Yasi didn’t destroy the beautiful view and the smell of the sea) which will help to get the creative juices flowing!

You’ll find us at one of the larger outside tables. The object will be to discuss what, when and how (we know why, because we all love poetry!) to organize a group.
Bring along your ideas, any poetry you may like to share and your diary to set dates and times for 2011.

Remember we have Don and Mary Gallagher willing to do a workshop for us. Possible dates 30th April /1st May or the 7/8th May. We are also working on getting someone to discuss voice and presentation in the future.

Please let us know if you can attend or cannot attend but would like to be part of the group or just rock up. Sorry for such short notice!
