Last Sunday morning the Magnetic Island Arts Co-op hosted an exhibition of almost 100 artworks by Magnetic Island School children.

The show titled, Creatures of Magnetic Island brought Island kid's art into a new public setting, however, with so much art and not so much wall space the exhibition soon spread outside into the covered foyer area.

Art's Co-op President, Helene Rankin told MT, "We've had a fantastic response with 67 works by MI State School children and another 30 from the pre-school. I think the kids have had a great time."

The exhibition was actually judged by the kid's themselves and $30 each was awarded to students: Oliver Smith, Imogen Jones, Aleisha Wilson, Mellissa Handley and Dylan Rankin for their art.

Helene was also keen to thank the MI Credit Union, MI Lions Club and Talented Timber for the prizes.
