QPWS has advised that due to the persisting strong winds the planned burn due to take place on Thursday in Nelly Bay will be postponed.

QPWS will advise of a new date for the planned burn to take place soon.

The areas planned for burning are starting earlier in the season due to the increased build-up of fuel from fallen trees and excessive growth following the record wet season.
