The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service are planning to conduct a planned burns today Thursday 2ndJune and tomorrow on Magnetic Island as part of the planned burn program.

As a result, smoke will be seen coming from near Hayles Ave and McCabe Cres in Arcadia Bay today as rangers will be working along the Arcadia Bay Fire Access Tracks.

Tomorrow Friday 3rdJune smoke will be seen coming from near the Nelly to Arcadia walking track, Mandalay Ave and the Private Estate in Nelly Bay.

Rangers will then be working along the Nelly Bay to Arcadia Bay walking track and Fire Access Tracks.

The Nelly to Arcadia and Horseshoe Bay walking track will be closed Friday 3/6/20011 and reopening Saturday 4/6/2011.
