A workshop on speaking verse and poetry in public led by Terri Brabon and Brendan O’Connor on Saturday 2nd July, Magnetic Island at All Seasons Resort from 10:00am to approximately 4:30pm.

Writing poetry or verse can be both a satisfying and challenging experience - but one that is essentially done alone. For many people the really terrifying part is being asked to recite it in front of an audience.

This one day workshop with Terri Brabon (Artistic Director from Shakespeare-under-the Stars), along with actor and wag Brendan O’Connor who will provide confidence and tricks to help you deliver your writing to its best: how to stand, how to breathe, how to put the light and shade in the voice that you have written into your work. Whether you are an experienced speaker of poetry - or run a mile from the prospect - then this workshop is for you.
