The Magnetic Island RSL Sub-Branch will commemorate ANZAC Day on 25th April with a Dawn Service at Alma Bay.
Sealink is providing an early ferry to Magnetic Island for the service, departing Townsville at 4am.
Sunbus is providing a bus service from the ferry to the RSL Memorial Hall, departing Nelly Bay at 4:30am.
Sunbus is also providing bus services from Picnic Bay and Horseshoe Bay to Alma Bay, departing 5am.
Gunfire breakfast will be available at the RSL Memorial Hall at 4.40am.
The march will commence from the RSL at 5.20am and the Dawn Service at Alma Bay will commence at 5.30am.
Breakfast and drinks will be available at the RSL Memorial hall after the service, with the bar open till 1pm.
Members of the public are invited to attend, and Service and ex-Service men and women are especially encouraged to take part.
Residents should note that Hayles Avenue will be closed between Mirimar Crescent & Armand Way from 4.30am till 6.45am on ANZAC Day.

A life celebration and scattering of ashes of the late Joan Marshall (22.6.50 - 25.8.11) will be held at the Kelly Street End of the Quays on Sunday 13th of May (Mothers Day) at 3.30 pm. All friends of Joan are welcome to come. Joan and her two children, Cathy and Peter, lived on the Island for 17 years and she was an active member of the community, most notably, the Sports and Rec club in Horseshoe Bay.
