The Magnetic Island Pharmacy was broken into last night and a small quantity of drugs were stolen.

According to Magnetic Island Police Constable Brendan Nugent the items stolen were not prescription medicine nor restricted drugs.

The break-in occurred sometime between 5pm yesterday evening and 7am this morning.

Constable Nugent said that the thief or thieves kicked in a glass panel and estimated the total of damages and losses including a broken window at about $500 worth.

The Pharmacy is located at the Nelly Bay Shops adjacent to the Foodworks Supermarket on Sooning Street.
