"Mad Bastards is an Australian film which charts the journey of TJ, DEAN DALEY-JONES, from Perth where he's just another ex-con with a fiery temper, especially when he's drunk, on a journey to see his 13 year old son Bullet, LUCAS YEEDA, whom he's never met." is how the ABC's Margaret Pomeranz begins her review of this Saturday night's offering to be screened by the Magnetic Island Film Society at the All Seasons hotel in Nelly Bay.

Pomeranz goes on, "Lucas is being looked after - sort of - by his mother Nella, NGAIRE PIGRAM. But she's quite a fire-brand herself, especially when she's drunk, which is often.
