Cyclone expected to form Tuesday
At 2.30pm on Sunday (Feb 8) the Bureau of Meterology (BOM) forecast the liklihood of a cyclone forming in the northern Coral Sea from Tuesday onwards.
The BOM's Tropical Cyclone Outlook reported: "At the present time there are no significant tropical disturbances in the Coral Sea. However most computer models still forecast the development of a tropical cyclone over the northern Coral Sea from Tuesday onwards and its subsequent movement towards the southwest "Potential for a Tropical Cyclone to develop in the next 36 hours is low but is high between 36 and 72 hours."
