All Magnetic Island residents and visitors are invited to come down to Picnic Bay Jetty on the night of the September full moon, Thursday 11th September from 6.30pm and enjoy the magnificent sight of the first full moon of Spring.

Bring your own picnic dinner, or pre-order special takeaways from any of the Picnic Bay eateries.

We are encouraging groups to get together and perhaps indulge in a spot of dress-up, it could be fancy dress or just black tie! There will be surprise prizes for the most imaginative groups and themes!

Picnic Bay cafes and restaurants are participating and will be open on the evening (even those who don't normally do takeaways) so you could just come the jetty for sunset, then go to eat, or order your choice of takeaway from:
