On Friday April 15 Magnetic Island businesses will be competing for the inaugural Magnetic Island Tourism and Business Awards Gala Dinner which is being sponsored by Sunferries.

According to Sunferries' spokesperson Jessica Ebelt, "The awards were created to benefit all businesses and tourist operators on Magnetic Island by providing an opportunity to raise their profile and reputation, acknowledging outstanding performance and promoting Magnetic Island as a 'must see' tourist destination within the north Queensland region.

"This event aims to increase visitation to Magnetic Island and providing an opportunity to build strong business networks with all who get involved."

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from Sunferries Travel in the Breakwater and Nelly Bay Terminals.
