Musos Club back on Saturday to blow out the cobwebs
Word is spreading that Magnetic Island Musos Club will be celebrating it’s 10th Anniversary with a special concert on July 23. And, to get into the swing, this Saturday night there’s a call out to musos, and anybody who likes to hear some great local acts, to get down to the RSL Hall in Arcadia for a blow the cobwebs out warm up jam for the big anniversary event. So if you have been thinking about getting involved and strutting your stuff onstage, this Saturday night will be a great chance to get cracking. There are a number of regular locals lined up to play including Mal Hamilton, Peter Jackson, George & Niels the Bananaband and others but the emphasis is for players and friends to come down and jam it up in true Island style.
Musos Club doesn't normally happen on the first Saturday of the month but due to a clash with the Palm Creek Festival in June, this month will be a whopper with this Saturday's gig followed in three weeks by the Anniversary Party which will follow the opening of the Solar Cities Skate Park from 4pm till 10pm at the Solar Cities Smart Lifestyle Centre in Horseshoe Bay. Keep an eye on Magnetic Times for more details soon.
The gig starts at 7.30pm and runs until midnight at the Magnetic Island RSL Hall, Hayles Avenue in Arcadia where affordable food is also available from the kitchen and the bar is open till midnight.
A $5 donation is appreciated on admission from non-members and a gold coin from members. Under 18s are very welcome but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
