Anybody who made it to the launch of MIB (Magnetic Island Boys) terrific CD, "Chronicles of Rapture", last Saturday in the Picnic Bay Mall will have had a taste of what this Saturday's Musos Club Christmas Gig at the RSL Hall in Arcadia has to offer. Maggie Island Musos Club | Nov 12th 2009
Magnetic Island Musos Club is back again this Saturday night at the Magnetic RSL with a local focus that should be fun for all ages with the return of MI's teen band The Jay Walkers and, we hear, the likely appearance of Col Fulford who at 93, and still blowing his mouth harp, is clearly one of Magnetic's greatest living treasures. Between those two age groups lies a whole lot more music so expect a foot tapping time at a great little Island venue, the Magnetic Island RSL in Arcadia.

Maggie Island Musos Club | Oct 8th 2009
This Saturday (October 10) will make a return to normalcy of sorts with the Magnetic Island Musos Club back on stage at the RSL after some away gigs during the month and a bit that was Bay Days. What isn't so normal is that one of the acts will include, yours truly, as a singer/player, rather that as MC wearing a silly silver hat! Fortunately I will be accompanied by a superb harmonica player – one of Magnetic's better kept musical secrets – Mr Niels Koelman.

The word is, for one night only, Musos is back in Horseshoe, but this time at the Solar Cities Smart Lifestyle Centre, the fancy new name given to the old club house after its extensive, solar-driven, renovation.
